What You’ll Do
- Provide tele/step-down style nursing care for a mixed medical patient population
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias using telemetry monitoring
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition and vital signs
- Manage general MS-level care needs, including patients with diabetes and renal insufficiency
- Support care for patients with wound needs and occasional overnight orthopedic/vascular concerns
- Serve as backup support for stroke unit coverage when needed
- Maintain readiness for weekend/holiday staffing requirements
What You Need
Required
- RN license
- Minimum 2 years MS/Tele Epic experience
- Ability to interpret/manage dysrhythmias and telemetry
Preferred
About the Assignment
This role is for a General MS/Tele unit caring for patients with conditions such as diabetes, renal insufficiency, wound needs, and occasional overnight orthopedic/vascular concerns, with backup support for stroke unit needs. Travelers will follow night scheduling that may be straight 4x12s or alternating 3x12s and 4x12s every other week. Weekend and holiday requirements: Yes (including at least 2 of 3 holidays). Float: Yes. Call: No.
Special equipment includes Alaris pumps and Vital Sync monitors. Scrubs: Navy blue or a combination with white. RTO: less than 5 days (or added time to the end of the contract).
