What You’ll Do
- Provide direct patient care in the IR/cath lab area in coordination with the procedural team
- Prepare, monitor, and assist during procedures, ensuring patient safety throughout the process
- Be able to perform conscious sedation and appropriately monitor and record procedure details
- Maintain accurate documentation for procedures, monitoring, and patient status
- Participate in shared coverage for on-call responsibilities, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Remain flexible to support unit needs (standard procedure hours may start at 08:00–16:00, with flexibility as required)
- Support unit flow by floating as needed between IR and Cardiac Cath Lab
What You Need
Required
- Current RN license
- BLS & ACLS
- 2 years of experience (no first-time travelers accepted by the unit)
- Competent in conscious sedation, including monitoring and recording procedure details
- Willingness to meet on-call response expectations (arrive within 30 minutes when notified)
Preferred
- Comfort working across IR and Cardiac Cath Lab support needs (as staffing requires)
About the Assignment
You’ll join a cath lab team in a fast-paced procedural environment where collaboration between IR and Cardiac Cath Lab is essential. The shift is structured as day 4x10 (07:00–17:30), with flexibility at times based on procedure schedules and unit needs. On-call coverage is shared among team members and includes weekend/after-hours responsibilities.
