What You’ll Do
- Provide direct nursing care to Med Surg patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation).
- Monitor patient condition and report changes promptly to the appropriate clinical team.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to facility protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care plans and discharge readiness.
- Maintain accurate documentation in a timely manner and follow department standards.
- Support a safe patient environment and adhere to infection prevention and safety practices.
- Work efficiently in a Med Surg setting with typical staffing of 1:6 patient ratio (as stated).
What You Need
Required
- Valid RN license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Ability to work Days shifts (8 hours).
- For agency submissions: include the required Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency (Nursing Pool) license as required for staffing temporary needs.
Preferred
- Med Surg experience (or familiarity with Med Surg workflows and patient acuity).
