What You’ll Do
- Screen, evaluate, and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing disorders in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
- Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide diagnosis and intervention.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care and adjust treatment based on patient progress and documented outcomes.
- Evaluate treatment results and modify services as appropriate; make referrals based on evaluation outcomes.
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other relevant service providers regarding speech and related disorders.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including treatment minutes, discharge summaries, and other required records in the electronic documentation system.
- Participate in required facility and company meetings and trainings (e.g., patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings).
What You Need
Required
- Active ASHA and State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Ability to adhere to ASHA standards and state required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
- Experience requirements: Not specified
Preferred
- Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) (helpful for success in this setting)
- Ability to provide clinical support for CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists (if applicable)
