What You’ll Do
- Perform routine and specialized Blood Bank compatibility testing to support transfusion needs
- Handle specimen processing and ensure correct testing workflow for high-volume activity
- Conduct and document ABO/Rh testing, antibody screen, and antibody identification (including tub method)
- Complete crossmatching procedures (including immediate spin/IgG and electronic crossmatch)
- Perform indirect Coombs testing as required by laboratory protocols
- Support a high-volume, highly specialized Blood Bank environment with strong attention to detail
- Work independently on the night shift with comfort operating with minimal supervision
What You Need
Required
- ASCP-MLS or ACP-BB
- Blood Bank experience in a large facility/high-volume setting
- Comfort working alone on the night shift
- Ability to perform Blood Bank technical testing, including:
- Specimen processing
- ABO/Rh, antibody screen & identification
- Crossmatch (immediate spin/IgG, electronic)
- Indirect Coombs test

- MLT may be considered if they are ASCP-MLT AND ASCP-BB certified with Blood Bank experience in a large facility (candidates will be reviewed/interviewed for fit in a high-volume, specialized Blood Bank)
About the Assignment
Join a specialized Blood Bank laboratory supporting transfusion services for both pediatric and adult patients. The lab performs routine and specialized compatibility testing and prepares blood components for transfusion, with a high testing workload (approximately 15,000 samples).
