What You’ll Do
- Provide high-risk obstetric care during 24/7 hospital coverage
- Assist with obstetric procedures and urgent OB needs, including cesarean sections
- Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists, available in-house during the day and on call at night
- Support level II nursery deliveries, averaging 11-12 per day
- Manage unassigned OB patients and assist with high-risk pregnancies
- Document care using Epic/Emerge or Obix electronic medical records systems
- Participate in on-call duties, with shift flexibility (including 12-hour shifts if preferred)
- Coordinate care with in-house OB and MFM teams for seamless patient management
What You Need
Required:
- Active Minnesota medical license or IMLC (if license pending)
- Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- BLS certification
- Trauma I or II experience
Preferred:
- Experience with high-risk pregnancies
- Previous hospitalist or OB hospitalist background

This role primarily covers the Maternal-Fetal Medicine service and urgent obstetrical cases at a highly respected Minneapolis hospital. Providers will collaborate closely with in-house specialists, supporting approximately 11-12 deliveries per day within a Level II nursery environment.
