What You’ll Do
- Conduct psychological screenings and assessments using review of available records and clinical interviews.
- Provide individualized treatment by developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans based on assessed needs and functioning.
- Serve as part of a multidisciplinary mental health team, collaborating with clinicians and support staff to ensure integrated care and follow-through.
- Make regular rounds in segregation or other confined housing areas to assess inmate/resident adjustment and treatment needs.
- Deliver counseling and crisis-focused interventions, including assessments and support for individuals in crisis.
- Support treatment planning by consulting with relevant departments (e.g., psychiatry, nursing, medical, education, chaplaincy, security) to understand behavior escalation and mental health condition changes.
What You Need
Required
- US Citizenship for ICE clearance requirements (with expedited clearance noted for new activation)
- Board eligibility (must be at least board eligible to qualify for privileges)
- Evidence of ability to practice as a Psychologist in accordance with licensing/credential verification requirements
- BLS that meets CoreCivic compliance requirements, or completed pending BLS attestation (as applicable)
- Ability to successfully complete thorough background and credit investigation for clearance
