What You’ll Do
- Conduct psychological screenings and assessments using available records and clinical interviews
- Provide individualized treatment by developing, implementing, and updating treatment plans based on patient needs
- Serve as part of a mental health team, coordinating with psychiatry and other clinical staff to support integrated care
- Make regular rounds in segregation or other confined housing areas to assess adjustment and mental health treatment needs
- Deliver counseling and interventions for individuals, including those in crisis, with a focus on appropriate care and de-escalation
- Consult with relevant teams (e.g., nursing/medical staff, social work, education, chaplaincy, security) as needed to support understanding of behavioral or mental health changes
What You Need
Required
- US Citizenship required for ICE clearance
- Board eligibility documentation (and must be board eligible to qualify for privileges)
- License verification (online verification required with application)
- BLS that meets CoreCivic compliance requirements, or completed pending BLS attestation (attestation required if not yet completed)
- Ability to pass thorough background & credit investigation for clearance
Preferred
- Experience not specified—candidates who demonstrate strong assessment, counseling, and team-based clinical coordination are encouraged
