What You’ll Do

  • Provide interventional radiology (IR) general coverage based on the facility’s procedure mix

  • Perform IR procedures including (but not limited to) vascular interventions and angiography (venous/arterial)

  • Provide therapeutic vascular interventions such as angioplasty and stenting

  • Perform image-guided treatments including thrombolytic and embolization therapies

  • Support a broad IR procedure portfolio including vascular access devices/PICCs, central lines, and port-a-cath insertions

  • Manage interventional procedures and drainage/aspiration workflows including abscess drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspiration/drainage procedures

  • Be capable of covering the general IR procedure list first; stroke capability is secondary (preferred)


What You Need

Required


  • MD/DO physician with IR general experience

  • ND medical license (will need to complete credentialing/enrollment paperwork prior to start)

  • Ability to perform the facility’s general IR procedure list (stroke capability preferred, not required)



Preferred


  • Stroke capability for neuro stroke thrombectomy (preferred but not required)


About the Assignment

This locum opportunity provides IR general coverage for a leading facility in Bismarck, North Dakota, with coverage structured around weekday days (8a–4p), evening call (4p–8a), and 24-hour weekend call. The facility’s procedure volume on the on-site day shift is typically ~10–15 procedures, with call-ins generally focused on emergencies. Credentialing is expected to take 60–90 days, with ND licensure required.
