What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive outpatient internal medicine services to adult patients (18+), including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct routine physical exams, health assessments, and health education counseling.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging.
- Prescribe medications and manage medication plans.
- Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare providers for complex cases.
- Supervise and mentor medical students, interns, and residents.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.
- Act as a primary care provider, managing preventive care, wellness, and chronic disease management.
What You Need
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).
- Education: Graduation from a medical school in the United States, Canada, or approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical Association (AMA), graduation from a college of osteopathy approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or graduation from a medical school with evidence of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification.
- Certification: The DoD only recognizes certifications issued by boards that are members of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the AOA Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
- Internship/Residency/Fellowship: Completion of an accredited residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of California.
- Certification: Possess a current AHA OR ARC BLS certification.
Preferred:
- Experience in outpatient primary care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and patient management skills
