Locum Physician – Hospitalist (OB/GYN) | Springfield, OH
Looking for a locum opportunity with a clear, repeatable schedule? This position offers in-house coverage (Friday 7a–Monday 7a, 24-hour shifts) with ongoing weekend needs. You’ll be paid $19.50/hour on a weekly pay schedule via direct deposit, with comprehensive medical benefits (W-2). Coverage begins 06/26/2026 (as credentialed).

What You’ll Do
- Provide Obstetric and Gynecologic hospital coverage in a laborist model (hospital call setting).
- Cover Labor & Delivery with a focus on routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections and VBAC decision-making.
- Manage a mix of low-risk (60%) and high-risk (40%) OB patients, including interpretation of fetal monitoring as needed.
- Perform or support required OB ultrasound interpretation (screening/viability and related interpretation).
- Support Gynecology surgical needs, including diagnostic/operative procedures (per scope and credentialing).
- Deliver care documented using EPIC.
- Coordinate with L&D nurses and midwives (midwife presence may vary during the full shift).
What You Need
Required
- Appropriate credentialing/eligibility for the assigned OB/GYN laborist coverage (credentialing timeframe: 30–90 days)
- Ability to cover in-house shifts and 2–3 weekends per month as scheduled
Preferred
- Experience managing low- and high-risk pregnancies
- Familiarity with EPIC documentation
- Comfort with Labor & Delivery and Gynecology surgical responsibilities as listed
About the Assignment
Join a leading facility in Springfield, Ohio providing OB/GYN coverage in a hospital call environment. Coverage is primarily in-house laborist with weekend needs, including Friday (7a) through Monday (7a), 24-hour shifts, plus 2–3 weekends per month ongoing. The unit includes L&D/Post Partum/Triage beds and operates with EPIC documentation, with support from L&D nursing and midwifery as available.
