What You’ll Do
- Perform and support interventional radiology and special procedures, including angiography and complex image-guided interventions
- Maintain a sterile field and support equipment setup and prep access site for procedures
- Operate and support procedure imaging needs, including fluoroscopy
- Support safe clinical workflow with isolation precautions/PPE and infection control/sterile technique
- Handle specialized IR procedure responsibilities such as stroke interventions, intra-cranial embolization, and carotid/vertebral stenting
- Support patient and procedure readiness using required unit tools/systems (e.g., Pyxis, EPIC)
- Participate in the required call rotation and weekend coverage per schedule
What You Need
Required
- ARRT and BLS
- 2+ years minimum experience in Interventional Radiology & Special Procedures
- Experience with IR workflows including angiography and catheter-based procedures
- Ability to support procedures such as (examples from requirements):
- Angioplasty, embolization (including chemoembolization), IVC filter placement/removal
- Inferior/mesenteric/pelvic/visceral angiography
- Carotid angiography and stent placement, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, vertebroplasty
- Port/Perm Cath and central venous access/port placement (as applicable)
- Fluoroscopy experience
- Comfort supporting 3D imaging and lead tech experience (as listed in requirements)
Preferred
- Prior traveler experience
- Additional certifications listed by the client (if held): ARRT CI and/or ARRT VI
- Experience with additional equipment/procedure capabilities (e.g., GE Innova/SIemens systems; dialysis graft interventions)
About the Assignment
This assignment is with a leading facility in Charlotte, North Carolina, supporting a high-volume Interventional Radiology environment. Expect day shift (08:30–17:00), Monday–Friday, with 1 weekend every 6–7 weeks and call required one day per week on the facility rotation (Tuesday/Thursday/Monday/Wednesday/weekend coverage).
Scheduling/Start Timing Notes: The expected start date is 07/08/2026, but the final start timing may be confirmed based on class/trainer availability. Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week and must be fully available to accommodate schedule changes. Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start.
Additional Notes: RTO after booking is NOT allowed and is NOT allowed to be worked out onsite. Call-offs/additional RTO could result in a Cancel and DNR.
