Desirable Practice Setting: Build your ideal Psychiatry practice in Academic Medicine - outpatient, inpatient, consults, clinical trials, ECT, TMS, telehealth, or a specialty focus.

Ideal Work Environment: Join one of Central Illinois' largest and most established Psychiatry departments - robust faculty, APPs, LCSWs, and a thriving residency program that actively supports and buffers attending workload.

Work-Life Balance: 1:6 weekend call with only 2 holidays per year - residents heavily buffer call and attendings are historically never physically called in after hours.

Leadership Opportunities: True Academic Medicine Psychiatry - Grand Rounds, resident oversight, committee involvement, and the freedom to pursue clinician, educator, or research-focused tracks.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $320-340K average total earnings; base salary $207,500-$237,500 dependent on academic rank; earning potential upwards of $400K.

Qualifications

•  Degree: MD or DO

•  Certifications: Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
