What You’ll Do
- Provide direct patient care in CVICU/Cardiac ICU settings, including close monitoring and intervention.
- Manage patients requiring advanced cardiopulmonary support, including ventilation and complex hemodynamic needs.
- Perform and maintain critical care skills such as IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and escalation of care as needed.
- Support patients on specialized therapies, such as Swan-Ganz (Swanz) and conscious sedation.
- Assist with procedures and care planning related to critical cardiac therapies, including PA lines and balloon pumps (as applicable).
- Work collaboratively with the CVICU multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality care.
- Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as required.
What You Need
Required
- BLS/ACLS
- 2 years of cardiac ICU experience
- Strong proficiency with critical care systems and workflows including:
- IV starts
- Telemetry (TELE)
- Vents (ventilation)
- Swan-Ganz (Swanz)
- Conscious sedation
- Balloon pumps
- PA lines
- EPIC experience
Preferred
- Previous travel experience
- Experience within CVICU specifically (cardiac ICU)
