What You’ll Do
- Provide direct bedside nursing care for patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
- Manage complex, critically ill patients including conditions such as multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, and DKA, liver failure, and renal failure
- Deliver safe care using required technology and unit workflows, including telemetry and ventilator competency
- Perform and maintain IV therapy, including proficient IV starts and appropriate infusion management
- Support care for specific MICU needs including continuous glucose monitoring for hyperglycemia
- Contribute to patient safety and clinical documentation using EPIC (EPIC experience required)
- Coordinate ongoing care during night shifts with a focused, high-acuity team environment
What You Need
Required
- RN license (as applicable)
- Minimum 2 years Medical ICU experience
- EPIC experience required
- Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
- Clinical skills: Proficient in IV starts, experience with telemetry, competency with ventilators
Preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Proficiency with EPIC documentation system
