We are seeking an LPN Behavioral
Health Nurse Sitter for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all
patients with high quality, efficient care. We are an amazing team that works

The Behavioral Health
Nurse / Sitter performs direct patient care within the scope of the Licensed
Practical Nurse. In addition, this position is responsible for observing
Behavioral Health patients who are assigned monitoring levels 1 or 2.  Behavioral Health patients may include
patients who are extremely confused, at risk of inadvertent self-harm, status
post suicidal ideation, at risk for assaultive behavior, elopement, or may
demonstrate dangerous and unpredictable behavior.

• You will provide quality BLS, ALS and emergency care to
     patients required procedures in accordance with established Tennessee
     Scope of Practice Parameters, Department Protocols and hospital
     credentialing.
• You will be responsible for monitoring Behavioral
     Health patients by camera or direct observation based on assigned level of
     observation.
• Your primary responsibility is patient safety with
     documented checks every 15 minutes.
• You will participate in Performance Improvement
     activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement and maintain cultural/diversity
     awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other
     customers.
• Your role promotes a supportive, team-work oriented
     environment.
• You must fulfill departmental responsibilities with the
     long-range plan, mission, vision and values of HMC.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current registration with the TN State Board of Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification within 90 days of hire or promotion
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred
