Description
Med/Surg Nurse needed in eastern TX Candidates must have 2 yrs exp in Med/Surg and an acute care setting. Join a 200+ bed facility that is nationally recognized for chest pain and stroke care. They also have a great reputation among patients and have multi-specialty clinical expertise. Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. May be required to float to other units based on facility need. - Days and nights positions available
- Still hiring during COVID-19
- BLS required
- Critical Care Level 1 needed within first 6 months of hire
- Advanced certifications and training in Critical Care Nursing preferred
Experience:
1. Previous Cardiac/ Telemetry preferred
2. Dysrhythmia Interpretation Course preferred
