"Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Nurse Practitioner Locum Opportunity – Massachusetts Position OverviewA leading academic healthcare system is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join its Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery service. This inpatient opportunity focuses on adult patient management and offers a consistent weekday schedule with no nights, weekends, holidays, or call responsibilities. Start Date: September 2026 Contract Length: Approximately 13 weeks Schedule Three 12-hour shifts per week Monday–Friday coverage Typical schedule is Wednesday–Friday Flexibility to cover Monday and Tuesday as needed No nights No weekends No holidays No call Practice Setting Hospital-based Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Service Adult patient population Epic EMR Clinical Responsibilities Perform history and physical examinations Develop and manage patient care plans Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans Perform bedside procedures as appropriate Assess and manage therapeutic interventions Ongoing patient evaluation and coordination of care Patient Volume Average daily census of approximately 10 patients Qualifications Required Nurse Practitioner certification Active Massachusetts license BLS certification Epic experience 1–2 years of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery experience Experience managing inpatient surgical patients Credentialing Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90+ days Ideal Candidate The ideal provider has previous inpatient Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery experience, is comfortable managing surgical patients independently within a collaborative team environment, and is seeking a predictable weekday schedule without call responsibilities.
