What You’ll Do
- Analyze specimens according to laboratory procedures and policies, ensuring specimen suitability and appropriateness
- Perform and accurately follow assigned test procedures
- Confirm and investigate unusual or potentially abnormal results per laboratory policy
- Review and report results accurately and on time to support clinician decision-making
- Operate laboratory equipment safely and effectively in accordance with established workflows
- Support compliance with CLIA high-complexity testing requirements as required by role responsibilities
What You Need
Required
- Certification/License: CLS (NCA), MT (ASCP) or equivalent as a Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist
- Ability to meet CLIA 88 requirements for high complexity testing (as defined in the Federal Register, Vol. 57; #40, Subpart 493.1489)
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
- Effective English reading/writing and communication skills
- Laboratory equipment operation skills
Preferred
- 1 year of general laboratory experience
About the Assignment
You’ll be part of the St. Vincent Regional Medical Center Laboratory team, supporting high-quality microbiology and clinical laboratory testing by processing specimens, performing assigned analyses, and ensuring results are accurately reported to assist clinical care.
