Pay & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $159.46/hour
- Weekly Pay Schedule: Weekly pay via direct deposit (W-2)

- OT: 1.5x regular hourly after 12 hours
- Holiday: 1.5x regular hourly if provider works listed holidays (holidays run 6p day before–6:45p day of)

What You’ll Do
- Provide inpatient pediatric coverage as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner supporting an inpatient pain service
- Manage pediatric patients after surgery who are experiencing pain (including cancer pain and sickle cell-related pain)
- Assess and support patients who are critically ill or weaning from sedatives
- Manage and monitor patients on PCAs and epidurals
- Coordinate care and respond appropriately to patient changes, including knowing when to call for help
- Provide compassionate, clear communication with patients and families in a fast-paced inpatient setting
- Document care using EPIC (EMR/Documentation system)
What You Need
Required
- Board Certification: Pediatric NP or Pediatric Acute Care NP (with appropriate experience)
- License: MA (Massachusetts)
- Certifications: PALS
- DEA: Required
- Experience: 2+ years
- Skills: Strong pediatric assessment skills and experience caring for pain patients (including appropriate urgency/escalation)
Preferred
- Experience working with pediatric pain services and/or inpatient post-operative pain management
- Familiarity with caring for critically ill pediatric patients and/or patients transitioning off sedatives
About the Assignment
This assignment is with a leading facility’s inpatient pediatric pain service. Providers work alongside supporting staff including attending physicians and APRNs (day coverage includes charge APRN; additional APRNs cover Monday–Saturday and Sundays), caring for pediatric patients post-surgery and managing complex pain needs for critically ill children. Patient volume is approximately 10–12 with pediatric patient age group coverage and EPIC for documentation.
Credentialing/Privileging Note: Minimum 60-day credentialing timeframe. Providers must be ready to begin applications immediately to meet start timing.
