What You’ll Do
- Provide patient care for inpatient plastic and reconstructive surgery patients (adult population)
- Conduct history & physicals (H&Ps) and perform ongoing clinical assessments
- Order medications and write prescriptions based on clinical needs
- Order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests
- Perform bedside procedures as appropriate to scope
- Develop and implement therapeutic interventions and a plan of care
- Support ongoing evaluation of patient progress and response to treatment
What You Need
Required
- MA state license
- Board certification
- 1–2 years of experience (plastic and reconstructive surgery inpatient setting)
- Clinical capability to complete H&Ps, manage orders, interpret diagnostics, and write prescriptions within scope
Preferred
- Prior experience in inpatient surgical services with adult patients
- Familiarity with hospital workflows and documentation systems (EMR noted as Epic)
About the Assignment
This hospital-based assignment supports inpatient plastic and reconstructive surgery care with an average daily census of about 10 patients. The NP will provide direct patient care, including assessments, order management, interpretation of diagnostics, prescription management, bedside procedures as appropriate, and ongoing care planning for adults.
