Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7a-7p, 7p-7a), 7 on/7 off schedule
• Job Setting: 53 Acute Care Beds (including 5 acuity adjustable beds ICU/PCU), EMR: Epic
• Types of Cases: Days: 1 MD, Nights: 1 MD Tele support for admissions & floor call. Vent management required. Required to be a supervising physician for NPs and PAs. No required procedures
• Credentialing: Case Logs for the last two years, in addition any documentation for special training for Special Procedures

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), and American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
• Certifications: ACLS, MMR/Varicella (2) Vaccines or titers with values indicating immunity for MMR & Varicella. TB (past 12 months) or a QuantiFERON Gold indicating immunity within three months. 2nd TB test to be completed prior to activation and privileges given. Chest x-ray required within 3 months if positive for TB or positive QuantiFERON. FLU within current season
• Licensure: Active unrestricted VA Medical License and DEA with VA address & schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4 & 5. Graduate from an accredited 4 year medical school (MD) or an accredited Osteopathic school (DO). Completion of ACGME/AOA approved 3 year residency program in EM/FM or IM. ECFMG required for foreign medical graduates
