Our client in North Carolina is seeking a skilled Addiction Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day assignment beginning Jun 22, 2026. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. You will manage a consistent patient volume of 10-20 per day, with duties focusing on medication management, clinic support, and comprehensive new patient consults up to an hour each. The position primarily involves evaluating and managing care for patients with Opioid Use Disorder and Alcohol Abuse, utilizing MAT injectables, and managing basic psychiatric medications.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage a patient volume consistently of 10-20 patients per day.
  • Assist in medication management.
  • Provide support throughout the clinic with support staff and patients.
  • Conduct new patient consults, expected to be up to an hour each, approximately two per day.
  • Evaluate, prescribe, and manage care for patients with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and Alcohol Abuse Treatment through Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
  • Primarily utilize Suboxone and long-acting MAT injectables; methadone is not used.
  • Administer subcutaneous MAT Injectables, such as Sublocade and Brixadi.
  • Manage basic psychiatric medication management, primarily focused on antidepressant medicines for dual-diagnosis patients.
  • Review routine blood panels and toxicology screens as crucial components of the clinic's comprehensive intake and monitoring process.
