  JOB REQUIREMENTS
  

  

    
• Board: BE/BC in Emergency Medicine (ABEM)

    
• Licenses: Active unrestricted LA Medical License, DEA with LA address, LA Controlled Substance & Supervising Physician License

    
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA and CDS required

    
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS, BLS (if Board Eligible; not required if ABEM-certified with MOC)

    
• Experience: Residency Completion in Emergency Medicine; new graduates accepted

    
• Other Qualifications: Case logs for past 2 years, CMEs for last 2 years, Flu and TB immunizations, Malpractice coverage $100K/$300K, enrollment in LPCF

  

  DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  

  

    
• Provide emergency medical care to patients in a high-volume ED setting

    
• Supervise and oversee Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants

    
• Cross-credential at multiple Willis-Knighton facilities (WK Medical Center, WK South, WK Bossier, WK Pierremont)

    
• Manage patient volume of approximately 46,000 annual visits

    
• Participate in coverage model with 38 physician hours per day (M-Thurs) and 12 NPPA hours (Fri-Sun)
