Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons in the OR across multiple specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ob/Gyn, Urology, and ENT
- Perform surgical first-assist duties during scheduled non-urgent cases, typically Mon-Fri, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
- Collaborate with the surgical team including surgeon, scrub tech, circulating RN, and CRNA to ensure safe, efficient procedures
- Manage intraoperative tasks such as tissue handling, suturing, wound closure, and hemostasis as directed by the surgeon
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR for all surgical cases
