What You’ll Do
- Act as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act and applicable standards.
- Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members to support safe, high-quality care.
- Assume accountability for quality patient outcomes and participate in activities aligned with unit/department goals.
- Support professional responsibility and accountability for your own practice.
- Provide culturally responsive care with sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity.
- Communicate and manage nursing team resources appropriately as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Use data and clinical judgment to evaluate and promote improvements in patient outcomes.
- Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and care teams.
What You Need
Required
- Current RN (Registered Nurse) license in state of practice
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- CPI certification (12 month) from the Crisis Prevention Institute (12-month certification requirement)
- 2+ years of RN experience
- Proficiency with computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred
- Certification in a relevant clinical specialty area
- Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing
