What You’ll Do
- Provide rehabilitative, skilled, medically necessary treatment for patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist
- Deliver evidence-based clinical interventions, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
- Help assess patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist to support plan adjustments
- Report treatment outcomes and effectiveness to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders
- Accurately document care in the electronic documentation system, maintaining patient records per company policy
- Record treatment minutes and participate in required meetings and trainings (as assigned)
What You Need
Required
- Active State PTA Licensure (when applicable)
- Ability to practice in accordance with APTA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
- Experience: Not specified, but readiness to provide skilled rehab under Physical Therapist supervision is required
Preferred
- Prior experience in Long Term Care (LTC) settings (not required, but helpful)
