What You’ll Do
- Provide RN coverage across Med-Surg and ER, based on patient needs (a blend of both areas is expected)
- Prioritize safe, timely patient care in a CAH setting—ER and Med-Surg shifts may vary
- Respond to patients coming through the door, adjusting workflow between units as needed
- Follow facility documentation processes using Athena (EMR)
- Work as part of the unit team to support efficient care delivery and communication
- Coordinate effectively with LPNs/CNAs and support staff assigned to the floor
- Ensure compliance with required clinical standards (including required AHA certifications)
What You Need
Required
- Active KS RN license (or multi-state license that is valid in KS)
- AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
- Ability to work both Med-Surg and ER coverage as scheduled
Preferred
- Prior travel experience
- Comfort with assignments where some shifts may be more Med-Surg than ER (confirm with your recruiter)
About the Assignment
This assignment is with a leading facility in Goodland, KS and is structured so the RN is expected to provide coverage in both ER and Med-Surg depending on patient flow. As a CAH, the mix can shift by shift—some days may be more Med-Surg-focused—so it’s important to be comfortable adapting quickly to what comes through.
