Our client in California is seeking a Family Practice Physician for a 120-day assignment starting Jul 20, 2026. This role involves providing comprehensive outpatient primary care to patients of all ages, focusing on chronic disease management, preventive health, and minor in-office procedures. The schedule is a consistent 8:30 AM to 5 PM.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide outpatient primary care to patients of all ages in a tribal community health clinic
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions including diabetes, hypertension, respiratory illness, and minor injuries
• Conduct routine wellness visits, preventive care, and health screenings
• Manage chronic disease treatment plans and medication management
• Perform minor in-office procedures (laceration repair, incision and drainage, joint injections, basic dermatologic procedures as needed)
• Order and interpret lab tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies
• Collaborate with behavioral health, dental, pharmacy, and specialty providers within the clinic system
• Provide patient education focused on preventive care and lifestyle management
• Document encounters accurately in the EMR system and complete required clinical documentation
• Participate in care coordination and referrals to outside specialists when needed
• Support the clinic’s community health and culturally competent care initiatives within the Hoopa Valley population.
