As the Ophthalmology Medical Director, you will play a key leadership role in shaping and advancing ophthalmology services while maintaining an active clinical practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a collaborative approach to patient care, and a commitment to improving outcomes and enhancing the patient experience.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality ophthalmologic care to patients across a broad range of eye conditions
Lead clinical operations and strategic development of ophthalmology services
Collaborate with hospital leadership, physicians, and staff to enhance patient care and operational efficiency
Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices
Mentor and support physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff
Participate in program development and community outreach initiatives
Maintain compliance with organizational, state, and federal regulations

Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Vermont
Previous leadership experience preferred, but not required
Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
