Our client in Oregon is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician to serve as a Medical Director for a 120-day assignment starting Jul 13, 2026. This role involves a blend of administrative leadership, supervising advanced practice providers and developing clinical policies, alongside direct patient care for routine check-ups, preventive care, and chronic disease management. The schedule offers flexibility with options for 5 eight-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts per week.
Responsibilities and Duties - Conduct routine check-ups and provide preventive care, including annual physical exams, vaccinations, health screenings, and wellness advice.
- Manage chronic diseases, offering treatment for ongoing conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, arthritis, and heart disease.
- Address acute illnesses including common colds, flu, ear infections, sore throats, and minor injuries like sprains and cuts.
- Support and supervise advanced practice providers (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants).
- Develop, review, and implement clinical policies, protocols, and practice guidelines.
- Participate in administrative meetings, leadership planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee the performance and professional development of clinical staff.
