What You’ll Do:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in a Medical-Surgical & Oncology setting
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret dysrhythmias
- Manage vascular access ports, PICC lines, and arterial lines
- Administer blood products and IV therapy, including starting IVs
- Assist with chest tube procedures and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapy
- Utilize equipment such as GE telemetry systems, bladder scanners, and Alaris pumps
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage patient symptoms secondary to disease or treatment
- Ensure infection prevention protocols and patient safety standards are maintained
What You Need:
- Active Ohio RN license or eligibility to obtain one
- Minimum 2 years of RN clinical experience in a hospital or similar setting
- Certification in BCLS
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records required
- Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation, port access, line management, and IV therapy
- Ability to float within units of similar or lower acuity levels
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
About the Assignment:
Join a dynamic team in the Med Surg/Oncology unit at a leading hospital in Columbus, Ohio. The unit focuses on caring for patients with oncology diagnoses, requiring experienced nurses to provide specialized care, including cardiac monitoring, symptom management, and infection prevention. Shift assignments are reviewed every four weeks and may include rotating between days and nights, based on staffing needs.
