What You’ll Do
- Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on review of records and clinical interviews
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, medical staff, social workers, and security personnel to coordinate care
- Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans for inmates
- Perform regular rounds in confinement areas to evaluate inmate adjustment and mental health needs
- Provide mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral assessments
- Address inmate crises with appropriate mental health interventions
- Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, treatments, and progress
What You Need
Required:
- Valid license or board eligibility as a Psychologist
- BLS certification (completed or pending) to meet facility compliance
- Social Security card for facility clearance
- Ability to perform all required functions at a professional pace
Preferred:
- Prior experience working in correctional or institutional settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
