The Interventional Radiology locum tenens opportunity in Texas…
-Location: Texas (160 miles north of Dallas)
-Duration: August 2026 – August 2027 (dates released through December and available upon request)
-Schedule: Monday - Friday
-Shift: 8a-5p
-Call: none
-Scope: interventional radiology (no diagnostics)
-Procedures:
• Nephrostomy Tube Placement / Exchange
• Nephro-ureteral Stent / Ureteral Stent
• Permacath (Tunneled Hemodialysis Catheter)
• Permcath Exchange / Permcath Removal
• Permanent Peritoneal Drain
• IVC Filter Placement / IVC Filter Retrieval
• Fistulogram / Angioplasty / Thrombectomy
• Arthrograms / Injections / Aspirations
• Small, Intermediate, and major
• Feeding Tube Placement / NG Tube Placement
• Gastric / Jejunal Tube Replace
• PICC Line Placement
• Thoracentesis
• Paracentesis
• Lumbar Puncture / Intrathecal Chemo
• Myelogram
• Biliary Drain / Biliary Drain Exchange
• Cholangiogram
• Embolization (Arterial/Venous, Hemorrhage, Tumor)
• Mediport Check / Placement
• Drains and Biopsies – FNA / Core needle / punch biopsy.
• Lung, bone, thyroid, liver, kidney, etc.
• Hysterosalpingiogram
• **Diagnostic Procedures – Full time RPA performs and reads GI studies that will require radiologist to co-sign. **There may be an instance where the radiologist will need to perform the GI study in the RPA’s absence.
• Esophagram, UGI, MBSS, Sniff test, cystogram, BE, and SBFT (just may need to review scout image. Read by teleradiology).
-EMR: Epic
-Group: Full-subspecialty support
-Affiliated Hospital: 275 beds, level III trauma
-Requirements: Board certified or board eligible with, compact license or Texas license
