What You’ll Do
- Provide direct patient care on an oncology-focused telemetry unit
- Monitor critically ill patients using B450 monitors and GE telemetry systems
- Manage IVs, medication administration, and infusion protocols
- Perform complex assessments including ABGs, dysrhythmia interpretation, and tube management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care and patient safety
- Support pediatric patients as needed, with pediatric experience preferred but not required
- Respond to emergencies, activate rapid response teams, and manage cardiac drips
What You Need
- Active Ohio RN license
- 2+ years of experience in high-acuity or oncology nursing (preferred but not required)
- Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIH
- Strong skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, and invasive line management
- Ability to float within units of similar or lower acuity
About the Assignment
Work in a 36-bed oncology telemetry unit with a focus on medical oncology and high-acuity care. The unit includes progressive care beds for adult patients, with rare pediatric cases. First-week orientation is Monday through Friday days, followed by on-unit precepted orientation. Schedule flexibility allows you to request preferred shifts, with staffing ratios typically around 1:4-5.
