What You’ll Do
- Perform trauma hospitalist rounding for Level I adult trauma patients and pediatrics
- Respond to trauma alerts in the Emergency Department
- Assist with trauma activations, procedures, and patient management
- Facilitate discharges and manage admissions
- Document patient care within the facility’s EMR system (Epic)
- Collaborate with trauma surgeons and hospital staff to ensure patient safety and quality care
- Manage daily patient caseloads, typically 10-14 non-ICU and 6 ICU admits per day
What You Need
- MN state licensure as an NP or PA
- 1+ year of trauma, emergency, or critical care experience
- Ability to independently manage all patient conditions
- Experience with procedures such as chest tube insertion, central/arterial line placement preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
