An established cardiovascular program is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to provide STEMI and interventional cardiology coverage. Emergency credentialing may be available for providers with an active Oregon license and a clean malpractice history.

Compensation:

Orientation – $200/hr per hour of orientation or training beyond 8 hours
On Call – $3740 per 24 hours to include 8 hours gratis
24 Hour Holiday Call Rate - $5600 per 24 hours to include 8 hours gratis
Call Back – $410 per hour of patient contact hours, after gratis hours are completed, gratis prorate to MSA terms
Holiday Call Back – $610 per holiday hour of patient contact hours, after gratis hours are completed, gratis prorate to MSA terms.

24-Hour STEMI and Interventional Cardiology Call
7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Orientation available the day prior to start or morning of first shift
Practice Setting
Inpatient and Outpatient
Established cardiovascular team
Hospitalists manage admissions
Anesthesia support available for inpatient procedures as needed
Clinical Responsibilities
STEMI call coverage
Interventional cardiology consultations
Inpatient and outpatient coronary angiography
Follow and manage assigned patients until sign-off
Diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
Patient Volume
Approximately 5 consults per day while on general call
2–6 coronary angiograms per day
Outpatient clinic volume averages 14–16 patients per day
Support Staff
Three General Cardiologists
Two Interventional Cardiologists
One Nurse Practitioner
Dedicated Medical Assistant support in clinic
Fully staffed office environment

Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
Fellowship Training in Interventional Cardiology
Active Oregon Medical License
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification
DEA Registration
Clean malpractice history for emergency privileges consideration
Credentialing
Standard credentialing timeframe: 30–120 days
Temporary privileges may be available for qualified candidates with clean files
Travel

Local candidates are preferred, though travel assistance may be available in accordance with facility guidelines."
