Requirements:- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific or compact, as applicable)
- Minimum of 1 year recent OB/L&D nursing experience (preferred)
- BLS required
- ACLS, NRP, and/or AWHONN certifications preferred (or required per facility)
Responsibilities:- Assess, monitor, and document maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
- Provide nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum phases
- Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered
- Operate and monitor fetal heart rate monitoring systems
- Educate patients and families on labor progression, pain management options, and postpartum care
- Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and complications
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care
- Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
