Opportunity Highlights

Schedule: 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), 10-hour shifts, and 24-hour shifts available; Day shift required; Weeknight on-call (pager) required; Weekend on-call (pager) preferred; Overtime not expected; Assignment duration: 26 weeks; Target start date: August 10, 2026

Job Setting: Hospital

Types of Cases: General, Orthopedic, OB, Pediatrics

Credentialing: Estimated privileging timeframe: 30 days; Accelerated/Temporary privileges available (30-60 days)

Responsibilities

Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department

Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures

Pre-anesthesia assessment

Obtain and/or verify patient consent

Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient

Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia

Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition

Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Minimum Requirements

Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certification required

Certifications: ECFMG and FLEX; Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia; M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine

Licensure: Currently licensed as a Physician; Candidates needing to obtain Pennsylvania state licensure will be considered
