Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience
- Previous experience in Operating Room and Recovery Room nursing preferred.
- Current Washington State or MultiState RN license required.
- Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification card on hire.
- ACLS & PALS required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members.
- Nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, hospital, Nursing Department and regulatory standards.
- Responsible for care of patients in the operating room.
- Provides for patient care as a circulating and/or scrub nurse and teacher to ensure safe and therapeutically effective nursing care.
- Maintains the work area.
- Participates in 24-hour call coverage.
- Uses skills in nursing assessment to include recognizing post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.
