Description
We are actively seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for an engaging 20-day assignment in Wisconsin. Starting Jul 20, 2026, the chosen professional will work Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7:30 AM to 5 PM, focusing on core bread and butter family practice duties.
Responsibilities and Duties - Performs annual wellness, follow-up, and acute exams.
- Obtains, reviews and updates patient EMR on the following information: health history, allergies, symptoms, medications, and immunization status.
- Appropriately orders and/or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide further information based on patient’s condition.
- Analyzes reports and findings of tests and examinations and diagnosis condition of patient administering or prescribing additional treatment options as needed.
- Documents in the EMR the patient’s visit including medical history, exam, diagnosis, and plan of action.
- Determines and prescribes medication, dosage, and schedule given the patient’s condition and allergies.
- Discusses possible side effects and/or alternative treatment options to the medications or immunizations with the patient.
- Promotes patient health by advising them about diet, exercise, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease, including STIs.
- Prescribes medication in accordance with WI statute and professional practice guidelines.
- Performs minor surgical procedures.
- Arranges referral for patients requiring services not offered at LCHC.
- Reviews incoming reports and follows up in a timely manner.
- Responds to patient’s messages and correspondence in a timely manner according to policies.
- Works collaboratively with team members and providers to manage complex cases.
