A leading not-for-profit, integrated healthcare organization in Central Michigan is seeking a BC/BE Hospital Medicine Nocturnist with a focus on admissions to join a high-acuity inpatient care team serving a large and diverse regional population.

Position Highlights:

Full-time nocturnist position within a large integrated health system

Coverage for a high-acuity inpatient hospital medicine service

12-hour night shifts; approximately 15 shifts per month for full-time status

Staggered start times (5 PM and 8 PM) to support smooth patient flow and transitions

Average of 6–10 admissions per shift within a system averaging 45 daily admissions

Work collaboratively with a second nocturnist physician and advanced practice provider support overnight

Fully integrated EPIC electronic medical record system

Primary responsibility for acute admissions from the Emergency Department

High-acuity, fast-paced inpatient environment within a Level II Trauma Center

Opportunity to work within a nationally recognized teaching and academic medical environment

Academic and teaching environment with access to structured residency and medical student programs

Qualifications:

MD or DO degree

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Hospital Medicine

Eligible for state medical licensure

Strong interest in acute care and inpatient admissions

New graduates and early-career physicians encouraged to apply
