A growing hospital-based surgical team just north of Portland, Maine, is seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon to join a collaborative, patient-centered practice with a broad elective and inpatient surgical mix, including minimally invasive and bariatric surgery.

Position Highlights:

• Full-time hospital-based general surgery practice


• Broad mix of elective and inpatient surgical cases


• Perform a wide range of general surgical procedures across adult populations


• Ideal candidate will also have some expertise in bariatric and metabolic surgery, including minimally invasive procedures


• Manage full perioperative care including pre-op, operative, and post-op management


• Collaborate closely with anesthesiology, nutrition, endocrinology, and multidisciplinary surgical teams


• Educate patients and families on surgical options, risks, and recovery planning


• Participate in quality improvement and clinical outcomes initiatives


• Flexible scheduling with shared call responsibilities
