Director, Surgical Services (RN) – West AZ

Full-time, days. State license required (or willing to obtain). Other shifts may be available upon inquiry.

The Director of Surgical Services oversees all perioperative operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high  quality care across surgical departments. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for surgical nursing teams, procedural areas, and support services within a high  volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop surgical services teams, including performance management, staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and payroll oversight.

• Maintain regulatory compliance, manage departmental budgets, and oversee contracts and vendor relationships.

• Assess and justify equipment, supply, and system needs; ensure proper maintenance and inventory levels.

• Promote a culture of professional growth, psychological safety, and collaborative practice.

• Integrate evidence  based standards into clinical protocols and daily operations.

• Partner with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and sterile processing staff.

• Oversee operations across Main OR, Ambulatory Surgery Center, PreOp, PACU, Preadmission Testing, Anesthesia Services, and CSPD.

Role Requirements

• BSN required.

• Arizona RN license.

• 5+ years surgical nursing experience.

• 1+ years leadership experience in a surgical setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or related field.

• BLS, PALS, ACLS.

• Certified Perioperative Nurse.

Compensation $10,000 sign  on bonus with a 3  year commitment. $5,000 relocation assistance.
