Urgent Care Physician

Location: Kennesaw, GA

Start: ASAP

End: Dec 31, 2026

Schedule: PRN coverage. Minimum 6 to 8 shifts per month. 8 or 12 hour shifts. Typical shift options include 8:00a to 5:00p or 8:00a to 8:00p. Provider must be willing to cover clinics in the region and travel up to 1 hour as needed (per Order notes).

Travel and Lodging: Lodging for consecutive days and mileage after 60 miles roundtrip (per Order notes)

Position Overview

Locum tenens Urgent Care coverage in a clinic setting (per Order notes)

Solo provider model with MA support (some sites also have RN or LPN support) (per Order notes)

Clinical Scope

General urgent care including testing, x rays, sutures, 12 lead EKG reads, and physicals (per Order notes)

Must be comfortable seeing pediatrics age 2 and up (per Order notes)

Patient volume noted as up to 4 patients per hour (per Order notes)

Site Details

EMR: Experity (Velocidoc) (per Order notes)

Onboarding includes EMR training plus an in clinic shadow shift (per Order notes)

Required Qualifications

Board certified Family Practice or Internal Medicine and must see pediatrics (per Order notes)

Urgent Care experience required (per Order notes)

DEA and NPDB self query required (per Order notes)

Clean background required (per client requirements)

Ability to read own x rays with no over read (per Order notes)

Credentialing and Onboarding Items (must be provided)

Name clear required prior to presentation (per client onboarding notes)

Credentialing documents as requested by the client team
