What You’ll Do
- Provide expert neonatal nursing care utilizing the nursing process
- Assess patient and family needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Delegate and coordinate nursing care to licensed and ancillary team members
- Monitor, evaluate, and document neonatal progress and responses
- Stay knowledgeable of current federal, state, and local laws applicable to neonatal nursing
- Maintain compliance with all accreditation, safety, and privacy standards
What You Need
Required:
- Current Louisiana RN License
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- 2+ years of NICU or neonatal nursing experience
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Certification in a clinical specialty area
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
