• Schedule: Ongoing coverage beginning 10/1/2026; anticipated end late December 2026
• Job Setting: Inpatient; Call Only (Beeper Call)
• Types of Cases:
  • Required: General Surgery (Adult), Laparoscopic Appendectomy, Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, Laparoscopic Hernioplasty, Breast Surgery, Minor Orthopedics, Chest Tube Insertion, Vascular Access Devices
  • Preferred: Pediatric Surgery, Trauma, Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication, Head/Neck Surgery (including thyroid), Chest Wall/Pleural Procedures, GI Endoscopy (Upper & Lower including Sigmoidoscopy & Colonoscopy) â?? GI Capabilities Highly Preferred, Hand Surgery, Central Line Insertion, PA Catheter Placement, Laser Certification, Plastic Surgery
  • Call Response Time: By phone within 15 minutes; In person within 45 minutes
• Credentialing: Estimated 3-4 days; Temporary privileges available

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
• Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
• Licensure: Active NC License required (IMLC not accepted); clean history required; drive-in candidate preferred
