Locum Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon – Pennsylvania

Overview

A Level I Trauma Center in Pennsylvania is seeking a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon for an ongoing locum opportunity beginning September 2026. This assignment offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic, operating room, facial trauma, inpatient consults, and call responsibilities within a collaborative surgical environment.

Assignment Details

• Specialty: Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery


• Location: Pennsylvania


• Start Date: September 1, 2026


• Assignment Length: Ongoing


• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM


• Operating Room: Approximately one OR day per week


• Call: Rotating overnight and weekend call with a 45-minute response time

Practice Setting

• Outpatient clinic


• Operating room


• Inpatient consult service


• Emergency Department consultations


• Epic EMR

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients requiring oral and maxillofacial surgical care


• Perform routine and complex oral surgical procedures, including impacted tooth extractions


• Manage facial trauma involving bony and soft tissue injuries


• Treat odontogenic and maxillofacial infections


• Provide inpatient and Emergency Department consultations


• Participate in scheduled operating room cases and rotating call coverage


• Document patient care using Epic EMR

Requirements

• Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon


• Minimum of two years of post-training experience


• Active Pennsylvania medical license or eligibility for licensure


• Comfortable independently managing facial trauma, clinic, operating room, and call responsibilities


• Case logs and professional references required for credentialing
