Urgent Care Physician (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine)

Overview

PRN urgent care coverage with ongoing needs. Seeking providers who can commit to a minimum of 6 to 8 shifts per month.

Position Details

Practice setting: Urgent Care

Specialty accepted: Family Medicine or Internal Medicine who sees pediatrics

Recent urgent care experience required

Typical cases: testing, X rays, sutures, 12 lead EKG reads, physicals

Patient volume: up to 4 patients per hour

Ages: 2 plus

EMR: Experity (Velocidoc)

Support staff: MAs (some sites also have RN and or LPN support)

Provider works solo

Required Qualifications

Board Certified

DEA

NPDB self query

Clean background and no malpractice or discipline history

Onboarding and Credentialing

Estimated timeline: about 1 week plus an in person shadow date. Provider completes a short contract packet and required trainings prior to first engagement.

Name clear required

Presentation must include NPDB self query and a completed client presentation form

Name exactly as listed on state license

State license number

Credentials (MD or DO)

NPI number

Taxonomy number (from NPI website)

DEA number

Email address and phone number for EMR lock out

Travel and Lodging

Lodging may be offered when working consecutive days. Mileage may be reimbursed after 60 miles round trip, with prior written approval required for any mileage or lodging fees.
