Description
The Interventional Radiology locum tenens opportunity in Tennessee…
-Location: Nashville, TN (30 minutes from the airport)
-Duration: September or October 2026 – June 2027 (potential for extension)
-Schedule: 1 week per month
-Shift: Monday – Friday, 8a-5p + optional weekend call
-Call: yes, unrestricted 8a-8a
-Scope: 100% interventional, no diagnostics
-EMR: Cerner
-Hospital: Level II trauma, 286 beds, level II NICU
-Requirements: Board certified or board eligible with Tennessee or Compact license
-Procedures:
• Angiography and venography (diagnostic and interventional for peripheral, visceral)
• Angiography and venography (diagnostic and interventional for peripheral, visceral)
• Angioplasty (balloon, drug-coated, cutting)
• Stent placement (peripheral, venous, arterial, carotid, iliac, SFA, etc.)
•*** Thrombectomy / thrombolysis (peripheral, pulmonary embolism, DVT, stroke, dialysis graft)
Required
• Embolization procedures:
Uterine Artery Embolization (UAE)
GI bleed embolization, including TIPS/portal interventions
Tumor embolization
• IVC filter placement and retrieval
• Image-guided biopsies (liver, lung, kidney, bone, etc.)
• Drainage procedures:
Abscess drainage
Biliary drainage/stenting
Nephrostomy tubes
Paracentesis
Thoracentesis
• Gastrostomy / feeding tube placement (G-tube, GJ-tube)
• Lumbar punctures
• Myelograms
• Vertebroplasty / kyphoplasty (spine cement procedures)
• Pain injections (nerve blocks, epidurals, facet, SI joint)
• Tunneled and non-tunneled central venous catheters
• Port placement/removal
• Dialysis graft/fistula interventions (angioplasty, thrombectomy, stenting)
